In what cases is it useful to unsubscribe from all groups at once?

As we said earlier, the most common reason is a clogged news feed. At some point, the user realizes that there is too much “garbage” in his feed, content that is of no value to him.

If there are few communities (50 – 100), you can easily unsubscribe from them manually. In addition, you can do this selectively, leaving the most interesting publics. But if there are hundreds or thousands of them, then the manual method will not be the most effective. At best, you will waste a lot of time, at worst, you will get tired of all this routine without ever completing the process.

It’s much easier to use one of the methods I described, unsubscribe from all groups at once, and then subscribe back to those few whose content arouses your interest.

Less common reasons are the following:

No exit button

But how to complete the task of leaving a group in contact if there is no button to leave the group? Most likely, this community is a public page (read about the difference between a group and a public page here). You should do this:

go to the community page;
in the upper right part there will be an inscription “You are subscribed”, click on it and “Unsubscribe”.

Thus, you can quickly unsubscribe from all VKontakte groups in various ways. You just need to choose the most convenient one and leave all the public pages whose content has already become uninteresting.

As you know, VK has a lot of groups, all kinds of communities and public pages for every taste. Users are often subscribed to hundreds of such communities that they don’t even go to. This is not to mention the fact that information in the feed from communities overlaps important posts... So why subscribe to them when you can leave only those groups that you like and that you actually read? You can simply unsubscribe from groups. How to do it?

The first step is to display the “Groups” section in the menu, if you have not already done so before. To do this, click “My Settings” and check the box next to “My Groups”.

Now go to “My Groups” and see the entire list of communities, groups and publics to which you are subscribed.

We go to the selected group. Under the group’s avatar we see the inscription “You are subscribed to news.” Click on it and click “Unsubscribe from news”.

Thus, you have unsubscribed from the group.

If we are talking about a public page, everything is much simpler. Go to your page, click on the “Interesting Pages” block, after which a window opens with the pages you are subscribed to. Under each page there is a convenient “Unsubscribe” button.

After you click on the button, unsubscribe from the page. At the same time, a “Subscribe” button will appear if you suddenly change your mind.

How to unsubscribe from all VK groups at once?

The social network VKontakte itself provides only one method - unsubscribe from each community separately. Therefore, people have long been using various programs that can automatically perform the entire routine.

Over time, the VK website changed, and along with it, its code. Those shortcomings of the site that were previously used by various programs and made it possible to automatically unsubscribe from all VK groups at once have disappeared. This resulted in the shutdown of most services.

Today, for the new design of the VKontakte website, I managed to find the following working methods:

using programs;
using a script.

Next I will talk about each method in more detail.

Unsubscribe from VKontakte groups

Please note that the existing and workable methods today are divided exclusively into two methods, each of which will be discussed in detail. At the same time, there are also a considerable number of fraudulent programs on the Internet, the use of which is not recommended under any circumstances.

Important: after a global change took place in the VK interface, and at the same time in the technical component of the site, many popular extensions have lost their relevance, for example, VKOpt still cannot automatically delete groups. Therefore, it is recommended to devote time to precisely those methods that will be given below.

Method 1: Manually unsubscribing from communities

The first and most common technique among users is the use of the basic capabilities of this resource. Despite its apparent simplicity and, at the same time, inconvenience, the entire process can be perfected to the point of automation and dozens of groups can be deleted without any problems.

If you prefer this method, you should know that each required action will have to be performed manually. Thus, having several hundred, or even thousands of groups and communities in subscriptions, you will be faced with a big problem associated with the speed of achieving your goal and simple fatigue.

If the list of your groups contains up to a hundred, and in some cases more, publics, then this method is ideal for you, also taking into account the unique opportunity to leave in the list some publics that are still of value to you in terms of interest.

Open the VKontakte website and using the main menu of the site on the left side of the screen, go to the “Groups” section.

Additionally, make sure you are on the All Communities tab.

From the menu items that open, you need to select “Unsubscribe”.

Next, regardless of the type of community being deleted, the line with the avatar and group name will change in color, symbolizing the successful deletion.

If you need to restore a group you just deleted, expand the “…” drop-down menu again and select “Subscribe”.

After leaving a closed group, it is impossible to return to it using the same methods as in the case of regular publics!

Please note that it is only possible to restore a deleted community before updating the page. Otherwise, if the need arises to re-subscribe, you will need to re-find the desired public through the internal search system and then subscribe.

Method 2: ViKey Zen

Today, there are a small number of extensions for VKontakte that can unsubscribe from public pages automatically. These include ViKey Zen, which is a universal tool for automating certain actions. The extension only supports Google Chrome and Yandex Browser, and you can download it on a special page in the Chrome store.

Click on the link provided above and once completed, click the “Install” button.

Confirm the installation of the extension through the window that appears.

Now on the web browser toolbar, click on the ViKey Zen icon.

On the page that opens, you can optionally immediately perform full authorization or select individual functions without giving full access to the extension.

Find the “Communities” block and click on the “Leave Communities” line.

After this, at the bottom of the page in the “Authorization” block, make sure that the “Communities” item is in the list of available sections and click the “Authorization” button.

At the next stage, provide access to the application through the VKontakte website, if necessary, first perform authorization.

If successful, you will be presented with the extension's main menu.

Find the “Communities” block on the page and click on the “Leave Communities” line.

Using the browser dialog box, confirm the removal of publics from the list.

Next, the automatic process of leaving groups on behalf of your page will begin.

You will receive a notification upon completion.

By returning to the social network website and visiting the “Groups” section, you can independently verify that you have successfully exited the public pages.

The extension has virtually no downsides and is definitely the best option. However, to use it, one way or another, you will need one of the supported browsers.

Method 3: Special code

Due to the lack of support for other browsers in the above extension, as well as due to some other aspects, it is worth mentioning a special code as a separate method. Its use will always be relevant, since the source code of the key pages of the social network is adjusted extremely rarely.

Through the main menu of the VKontakte website, go to the “Groups” page and insert the following code into the address bar without changes.

After that, go to the beginning of the line and remove the “#” character from the word “java#script”.

Press the "Enter" key and wait until the removal procedure is completed. Unsubscribing will be done automatically, without requiring you to manually refresh the page.

The only unpleasant feature, apart from anti-spam protection, is the deletion of all publics, including those in which you are the administrator or creator. Because of this, you may lose access to them, since there is currently no search for managed communities. To avoid problems, make sure to save links to the desired groups in advance.

At the time of writing, I managed to find two working software:

AutoVK

This is a program designed to perform numerous useful actions on VKontakte. And one of the functions is unsubscribing from groups.

How to unsubscribe from all VK groups using AutoVK:

Download the program on the official website https://autovk.ru.com
Install on your PC and run.
Log in using your VK account login and password.

To exit all groups at once using AutoVK, we need to first obtain a list of our groups. That is, parse them.

Select “Group Parser”.
Select “All mine” and click the “Get” button.
Wait for parsing to finish. The more groups, the longer the parsing.
Click the “Log out all” button.

All that remains is to wait until the program unsubscribes from all found public pages.

SoBot

Previously, this program had a different name - VKBot. Now it has an updated interface and more advanced functionality. But the old functions remained in place, including a one-time exit from all communities.

How to log out of all VKontakte groups immediately from your phone?

To do this, we’ll use the Android app CleanerVK. On your mobile device, you can clean not only groups, but also dialogues, posts on the wall, photos, pictures, audio and video recordings, friends and bookmarks in one fell swoop.

Be sure to fill in your VK logins and passwords.

In the “Cleaning” menu, you can delete communities, unsubscribe (delete subscription) from groups and public pages from your phone. Script

There is one script for the VK website that has been working for more than two years. It's quite easy to use. You don't need to change anything in the page code. It is enough to do the following:

Go to the VK page with groups https://vk.com/groups
Next, enter the following JS code into the address bar of your browser:

Be prepared that the computer will be busy with the script for the near future. Action confirmation windows will appear on the page, and the page itself will be constantly updated. Don't be scared! You don't need to poke anything. Brew yourself some tea and watch the process.

How to unsubscribe from PC

Manually

This method is good if the list of communities is small. You need to cancel your subscription yourself:

open your VK page;
go to the list of subscriptions;
Opposite the public page from which you need to unsubscribe, there is a small menu hidden under an ellipsis. Hover the cursor over it;
in the list that appears, select the top item “Unsubscribe”.

That's it, the action is completed and the news of this public page will not disturb you.

Script

Anyone looking for the easiest way to exit all VKontakte groups at once will use this method. The step-by-step instructions are as follows:

go to your profile from a PC;
open the list of public pages that we monitor;
go to the end of the list (to do this faster, you can hold the slider with the mouse and drag it down);
right-click on an empty space;
in the drop-down menu, at the end of the list, select the item “View element code” or “View code” (this is in the Chrome or Opera browser, in Yandex - “Examine element”);

opens the Console tab and paste the following script where the register is blinking

Enter and the program will automatically exit all public pages.

You can make it even easier and quicker to unsubscribe from groups on VK. Open your public pages in VK, and paste the above script into the address bar of your browser. Enter and the unsubscribe process will start.

If you were unable to remove yourself from closed publics, you will have to do it yourself.

Please note that if the group is closed, it will be more difficult to return to it if something happens. You will have to resubmit your application and wait for an administrator to review it.

Browser extension

There are not many reliable programs for managing your social network page. They quickly appear and disappear. One of the durable ones is ViKey Zen, which can be downloaded from the Chrome store. Suitable for Yandex and Chrome browsers.

This extension simplifies many manipulations. It should be used like this:

download and install ViKey Zen, the application icon will appear on the toolbar;
open your page on the social network and go to your publics tab;
click on ViKey Zen and go through the authorization procedure, granting full or partial access;
find the “Communities” menu item;
Click “Leave Communities”;
go to the bottom of the page - the “Authorization” section, in the line “The extension will have access” there should be “Communities”;
Next, we confirm access to our page;
in the new page that opens, find the item “Leave communities” and click on it;
After confirmation, the user is automatically removed from all public pages.

By the way, if you decide to leave the community because its administrators or members are violating the rules, consider blocking the group completely.

Special programs

To leave all groups on VK, you can use special programs. Such as VKbot.

It should be downloaded and installed;
Next, in the robot menu, find the “Cleaning” button;
