Since then, many changes have occurred both in the management and in the interface of Vkontakte, but still the developers manage to remain at the top of the Russian Internet.

It is expected that there will be 20 sections dedicated to games, music, humor, style and other topics. The content will be distributed using special algorithms, but authors will also be able to specify the subject of posts themselves. Over time, the number of topics will expand, for example, tabs dedicated to global events will appear.
Communities will be able to create stories
Stories have become hyper-popular in recent years. But for now, only users can publish them on their own behalf. By 2021, VKontakte developers promise to allow stories to be filmed on behalf of communities.
What this will lead to is not yet entirely clear. VK representatives believe that such a step will help increase audience engagement and, accordingly, keep them on the social network .
Overall the update is promising. But you need to be careful with some unscrupulous community owners. Just give them free rein, and the entire story feed will be littered with advertising videos and other spam.
