The process of uploading a logo to a group
To upload a logo to a group page, you need to follow a few short steps.
- Upload your logo to the group by clicking on “Upload Photo” in the image form.
- Select the desired picture from the images that appear. First, click on “Upload photo”, and then click on the logo.
- Set the thumbnail view of the image and click “Save and Continue.”
After completing all the steps, the logo will be uploaded as the group avatar.
How to repost
To repost VKontakte on your wall, you need to find the post you want to share, and then find the repost button under it and click on it. The share button looks like a pointer with an arrow pointing to the right, next to it there is a number showing how many people have already shared the post:

It has three main methods of reposting, which we will analyze in order:
- Friends and subscribers - share the post in contact on the wall;
- Community subscribers - send a post to the group;
- Send as a private message—send the post to a friend.
Also at the top you can select the method of sending the recording as “export”. In this case, a URL version of the post appears, which can be inserted into your own website, or into a forum, and so on. In this way, it is easy to share a VKontakte group, page and other information outside the VKontakte social network itself.
Before reposting in contact on the wall, please note that below you can add a comment to the post, thus commenting on its content. The VK repost will contain this comment, and then the post itself that you are going to repost on VK. Opposite the “Share post” button there is an “Attach” button. They serve to attach third-party objects to the repost itself, that is, in addition to the post and comment itself, you can add your own picture, video, and so on.
Repost to friends and subscribers on VKontakte
Reposting to friends and subscribers consists of sharing a post in a contact on the wall. You send the selected post to your wall, that is, it will appear on your profile when someone visits it. This way you can quickly and easily send some information to your friends and subscribers, as well as to those who visit your page.
If you repost VKontakte to your page, all your friends and subscribers (those who sent a friend request or subscribed) will see this repost in their news feed. Unless they blocked your posts by clicking on the cross next to one of the posts.
Community subscribers
If you are an administrator of a community, you can repost it to the VKontakte group. To do this, after clicking on repost, select “Community Subscribers”, then indicate the group to which to repost.
To repost a post to your group, you need to have administrator or at least editor rights in it, and the wall must be open there.
Send by private message
This item allows you to send a post to someone in private messages, or to a group of people in a conversation. After specifying the item, the choice of interlocutor or conversation appears. You can use the search by writing the beginning of the first or last name of the participant in the conversation. It looks like this:
How to repost from your phone?
To repost on VK from your phone, just find the same button in the form of an arrow pointing to the right, as shown above (with a blue speaker - in the old version) for any post. After clicking, the usual menu will appear with a choice of three sending options: personal messages, VK page and groups. The interface is slightly different, but the essence remains the same. After choosing where to send, you are prompted to attach a comment to the submission.
How to repost on VK
Instructions on how to repost in VKontakte depend on where exactly you want to transfer the post: to your page, to a group or a personal message.
On your wall?
Let’s say you’re walking around the expanses of a social network and come across an interesting post, how can you repost it on your VKontakte wall? It's not difficult at all. By the way, this function was originally called “Tell Friends”. Look at any post on VK (I hope you don’t need to explain what a post is?):
- Each published post is always accompanied by a context line with icons: like, comment, share, find out the number of views of the post;
- We are interested in an arrow with a rounded tail. Click on the symbol;
- The required section will open. In order for the publication to be duplicated on your wall, in the audience selection column, leave a checkmark on the item called “On your wall.” It is at this moment that in the “Your comment” section you can tag the person in the post or add some accompanying text.

On the wall in the group?
The next step is to look at how to repost a post on VK, but not to your personal page, but how to repost it to a group:
- At the audience selection stage, you need to mark the second line - “In the community”;
- The search bar will open and below will be a list of your groups. Select the one you need, click on it with the mouse;
- You can complete the action after confirmation;
- Please note: you can only repost on the community wall if you are an administrator. Notes posted by individual participants can only be sent to friends in a private message. In addition, the entry will be posted on behalf of the group. If you want your data to be displayed, you will have to place it in the comments. By the way, we can delete a comment at any time, and users will not know that you wrote something.
- You can share someone else's post from the community only if the public is not closed. So first check the status of the community, so that later you don’t get stuck with the question: “Why can’t I repost from a VKontakte group”? There will most likely be one answer: the community is closed.
By the way, every VKontakte post has a repost icon in the shape of an eye. It will help you look at views (sorry for the tautology) and understand what topics are interesting to your readers. Moreover, now it is not always possible to see who reposted your post.
In a personal message?
But it happens that you see some post on a social network and realize that it’s about you. And I immediately want to share it with one specific loved one. Is it possible to do this? Yes, there is no problem. Reposting on VK allows you to share important news with one specific person. He will receive it as an incoming message and will be able to read it in dialogue. For this:
- In the audience section, click on “Send as a private message”
- Select the desired user and share the post.

Internet problem
If, when you press the “Send” button again, the “news” is not sent, then you should check your connection to the Internet. If it disappears, then you need to reconnect it and try again. Perhaps you forgot to pay it on time, or your Internet provider experienced some kind of breakdown and therefore messages on VKontakte are not sent - “red exclamation mark” error.
If you are using Wi-Fi, try switching to regular Internet or vice versa
If there is a temporary failure, then you just need to reload the page, and if the Internet provider has fixed the problem, then you will be able to communicate again without restrictions.
In some cases, if payment is not made on time, the provider may reduce the speed. This is often common among mobile internet users. In this case, messages on the social network will not be sent.
Because of such oversights, sometimes ridiculous situations arise.
