How to upload and attach a video to a VKontakte message

Loading algorithm:

1. Go to the Video section.
2. Click the Add Video button.

   

3. In the menu that appears, click the Select file button.

   

4. In the file system explorer window, specify the path to the video file. Most popular formats are supported, VK automatically converts them to the standard format for the site.
5. Next, the file will begin uploading to the service. The duration depends on the Internet speed, file size, video length and quality.
   

   When converting, VK sets the highest possible quality, up to 1080p (FullHD). If the connection speed is insufficient, the viewer may choose a lower quality.

Unfortunately, the mobile version of the Vkontakte website (https://m.vk.com/) does not have such a “Forward message” button. To do this, you will need to copy it manually:

1. Go to “Messages”.

   

2. Select the person you corresponded with.
3. Drag the desired entry into the message field.

   

4. Select the entire message with the left mouse button and copy it either using Ctrl+C, or by right-clicking and clicking “Copy” in the menu.

   

5. Exit again to the “Messages” menu.
6. Click on the dialogue with the desired person.
7. Paste the copied entry into the field using the Ctrl+V keys.
8. Click the send button.

1. Incorrect aspect ratio. The picture is too wide or long. In this case, you can crop the photo in any available editor on your computer or smartphone.
2. Unsupported format. You need JPEG, PNG, or an animated GIF image. Select these types of files to send. If the image you want to send is saved in a rare, unsupported format, you can use an image converter to quickly change the file format. 1. The file size is too large. Files larger than 10 MB are not accepted. This problem can also be solved using an online converter or special image compression utilities, such as Image Resizer.

1. The mobile application does not have access to the phone's camera or gallery content. These functions are enabled in application settings, as well as in the menu of the smartphone operating system itself.
2. There is no Internet access or the connection speed is too slow to send images. Check your computer's network connection.
