Method 1: Home screen and application menu
The simplest and fastest method of deleting any mobile program installed on an Android device, including the VKontakte social network client, is to move it to the trash.
In the vast majority of launchers (both system and third-party) this option is available on the desktop, but often a similar action can be performed from the main menu. Press and hold the application shortcut with your finger until it is “captured” (the main screen usually fades into the background), and drag it to the delete icon that appears at the top. It is designed in the form of a trash can and often has a corresponding signature.
Confirm your decision in the pop-up window by tapping “Delete” and wait until the procedure is completed. A notification will appear at the bottom of the screen, and the VK shortcut will disappear from the desktop and/or main menu.
User surveillance
It has long been known that the official VKontakte application collects an exorbitant amount of data about its users. Of course, some of this information is really needed for the stable operation of some services and further improvement of the application. But why does VK need to know all the geodata, which button the user pressed, all the nearest Wi-Fi points and even the serial numbers of SIM cards?
Officially, the application is regularly improved. But these improvements are not always beneficial. Let's hope that over time the developers will finally bring the client of our favorite social network to mind.

Method 2: App Store
The digital content store pre-installed on an Android smartphone or tablet can be used not only to install and update programs and games, but also to remove them. Next, we will use the Google Play Store as an example, due to its greatest prevalence, but in proprietary solutions from manufacturers (Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei AppGallery, Xiaomi GetApps, Meizu App Store, etc.) this is done according to similar instructions.
- Launch the Play Store and open its menu by swiping from the left edge of the screen to the right or touching the three horizontal bars at the beginning of the search bar.
- Go to the "My apps and games" section.
- Open the "Installed" tab.
- In the list of installed programs, find “VKontakte” and tap this name.
- Click on the “Delete” button, confirm your intentions in the pop-up window
and wait until the procedure is completed - the opportunity to “Install” the application will appear again.
How to completely remove Vkontaktedj from your computer
The most popular social network is VKontakte. To make it more convenient for a person to download their favorite musical compositions from this resource, a special utility called VKontakte.DJ is used . However, there are many people who consider this application to be a virus software.
Many users are interested in deleting the VkontakteDJ application
Therefore, they need to know how to completely remove Vkontaktedj from their computer. In addition, a certain part of users do not like the fact that Yandex is trying to install this software on their computer. Such software features simply annoy people. This all leads to the desire to get rid of the software.
Method 3: “Settings”
You can also get rid of an unnecessary mobile program, which in our case is the VK client, in the Android OS settings.
- In any convenient way, open “Settings” and go to the “Applications and notifications” section.
- Tap on the “Show all applications” link.
- In the list of settings that opens, find “VKontakte” and click on it.
- Use the “Delete” button, and then tap a similar message in the pop-up window to confirm.
Note: You can access the system settings section shown in the image above directly from the Android desktop. To do this, hold your finger on the VK shortcut and do not release until the context menu appears, in which select “About the application” or the “i” icon.
The procedure for uninstalling the social network client, as in all the cases discussed above, will take no more than a few seconds.
File managers
Some file managers ( Google Files, Cx Explorer, File Manager, File Manager from the File Manager Plus studio, etc.) are capable of working with applications. If you use such software, you can use it to remove VK. Let's look at how to do this using the example of File Manager from File Manager Plus:
Step 1. Open the file manager and go to the “Programs” tab.
Step 2. Find VK , click on the button on the side in the form of an inverted exclamation mark to start managing the application.
Step 3: Select "Delete".
Step 4. Confirm the action.
And here's what the same operation looks like in Google Files :
Step 1: Open the manager and go to the Applications section.
Step 2. Find VK and click on the button in the form of three vertical dots on the right.
Step 3: Select “Delete application” from the drop-down list.
Step 4. Confirm the action.
If you have a different file manager, deleting in it is similar to the examples above.
Method 4: Third Party Applications
In addition to system tools, to remove more unnecessary mobile programs, you can use third-party applications equipped with appropriate functionality - specialized cleaners and some file managers containing a built-in uninstaller.
Option 1: Cleaner apps
As an example, we will use the rather popular CCleaner software solution, which can be installed using the link below.
- Launch the program and, following the instructions and prompts on the screen, complete its initial setup and provide all requested permissions.
- Run “Scan for junk files” (you will be prompted to do this the first time you use it) or skip this step and close the window.
- Once on the SeaCleaner main page, do the following:
- Tap on the “Applications” tile and wait for the scan to complete.
On the App Browse screen that appears, tap Installed #. - In the list of software, find “VKonakte” and check the box located to the right of its name.
- Click on the round button with three dots and select “Remove from device” from the pop-up menu.
- Confirm your decision in the pop-up window, after which the problem stated in the title of the article is considered solved.
