Standard registration
Standard registration is very simple and anyone can handle it. In order to create a page, you will need a mobile phone number that has not yet been used on a social network and a couple of minutes of free time.
- First, go to the official website;
- In the right corner there is a block “For the first time on VKontakte?”, which is what we need. We fill in all the fields in it;
By default, you only need to use your real first and last name to register. This will help friends or relatives find us, and, if necessary, restore access to the page through technical support.
- Click “Continue registration”;
- Enter your mobile phone number and agree to the rules of the social network. The number is entered without the eight;
- You should receive an SMS with a code on your mobile phone, which we enter in a special field.
After entering the code, enter the password and see a message stating that registration was successful.
All that remains is to fill in the necessary data, set up privacy and you can start looking for friends and acquaintances.
Malicious content
Viruses and malware are often the culprits that limit access to a resource. Then, even if you specify the correct login and password for your account and click on the Login button, nothing happens.
The page may refresh again to an empty login form, freeze, etc.
Most likely, this is a sign of a virus in the browser. To get rid of it, run an Intelligent, Full or Deep scan with your antivirus program installed on your computer.
After this, follow all the antivirus recommendations for treating and/or removing malicious software.
But in some cases, even the most powerful antiviruses, such as Avast, Dr. Web, cannot find a threat on your computer.
In this case, you will have to reinstall the browser. And if there was a virus in it, then after reinstallation, logging into VKontakte should be carried out normally.

Registration via Facebook
This method is suitable for those who have a Facebook page. On the main VKontakte page in the lower right corner there is a “Continue with Facebook” button:
- Click “Registration via Facebook”;
- Log in and click “Continue”;
The email used on Facebook should not be linked to an already created VKontakte page. In addition, it is important to remember that you will also need to confirm your phone number on Facebook.
Completing Regular Registration
So, for this you will need:
- Internet access
- Computer or smartphone
- Valid mobile phone
To create your page from your computer, go to the site and on the main page you will see an already open form.
Enter the required data and click on the green button. After entering the data and clicking, a window will appear asking you to enter your phone number.
After you write your number and click “get code” you will need to enter a combination of numbers that you will receive via SMS. If everything is correct, then you will receive your new VKontakte profile!
You can start adding friends, subscribing to groups and making your first reposts! By the way, I talked about what a repost is and how it is done in a recent article. Be sure to read it.
Please note that you will not be able to register on VK if the number is already linked! One page per phone.
From your smartphone you need to download the official application from the application store (AppStore or Google Play Market) and perform all the steps described above because they are absolutely identical.
Registration without phone number
Unfortunately, you won't be able to create an account without a phone number. But, you can try to purchase a virtual one, on which you can create a page. The procedure is as follows:
- Go to onlinesim and register;
- We top up the balance and order the service of receiving SMS;
- We receive a number, which we copy and use for registration.
There are a lot of disadvantages to this method. Starting with the fact that VKontakte does not like pages created for virtual numbers, ending with the fact that if the piece of paper with the password is lost or the password itself is forgotten, then it will not be possible to restore access to the page.
There are no other ways to easily create a page on VK without a phone number.
Current ways to register
Previously, users were able to register on VK via email without a mobile number, but now, unfortunately, this option is closed.
There are currently only two ways to register:
- Using a mobile number (the social network no longer accepts a landline phone number);
- Via Facebook (however, you will still need a mobile phone).
Separately, it is worth noting registration using virtual telephony - such contacts are increasingly not accepted by the service for profile registration. This is due to the fact that for one mobile social. the network allows you to register one profile, and there are not enough virtual phones for everyone. In addition, some of them are blocked for spam.
You shouldn’t trust sites that tell you how to register on VKontakte via email - while promising to help you right now, most of them are scammers hiding behind these services.
In this case, it will not be the service that will deceive, but the user. At best, these statements will turn out to be empty, at worst, the user may lose money or get a virus on their device.
In fact, when creating a new page, there is no provision for registering in VK through mail without a phone number, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a Mail ru, Google, or Yandex mailbox. However, this does not mean that your email will not be needed at all when creating an account - you can and even need to indicate it.
Via email
I'm sure many readers of my blog remember the times when it was possible to create a VKontakte profile using only email. However, since 2012 this option has been removed. This was done to prevent people from creating “fake” pages and spamming everyone with junk advertising, or simply not creating false accounts.
If someone offers a 100% working way to create a page via email without using a mobile phone, they are probably scammers.
Conclusion
As can be seen from what was written above, problems with logging into VKontakte can be associated with a variety of reasons. Both dependent and independent of the user.
Although restoring access to the site is relatively simple. It takes a long time and is not always possible, so it is necessary to remember and not lose all credentials.
It is also better to maintain “order” in your PC by regularly cleaning it of viruses, old cache, and unnecessary third-party utilities, and then there will be no problems with accessing the site.

How to register in Ukraine?
From Ukraine, VKontakte registration is prohibited. Yes, at the legislative level. If you access a social network site from your smartphone or computer, you will most likely see a message from your provider stating that access is denied. A link to the relevant law signed by the President will be provided.
Thus, there is no legal way to use the social network in Ukraine. But there are workarounds:
● Tor Browser is a special browser (like Google Chrome or Opera) that allows you to surf the web while hiding your IP address. When you go online, you are virtually no different from an Australian, a German or a Spaniard. Thus, the Ukrainian providers that provide you with the Internet do not identify you as a user from Ukraine.
The result is that you can freely use any Russian blocked sites. Not only VKontakte, but also Yandex or Mail.Ru services. You can download this wonderful browser here https://tor-browser.ru.
● Using VPN services. Here the situation is a little different. You access the network from Ukraine, but instead of sending your request directly to Russia to the Vkontakte servers, you use an intermediary. This intermediary is the VPN server. Then, again as a foreigner, you go to the social network servers.
If it's difficult, don't worry, you don't need to understand these technologies, just use them. To be honest, I don’t delve into these technical aspects myself.
● Install the extension. If you use Google Chrome, just go to the extensions page and select one of them. For example, Yandex Access works well, which is used by more than 40 thousand Ukrainians.
But it’s worth noting that these extensions “fall off” from time to time, and you have to install new ones. But what did you want? These are workarounds!
You may be wondering: is all this legal? Is it possible to do this? And here opinions differ. In 2021, access to hundreds of websites of Russian companies was prohibited, not only VKontakte. In general, there are no such rules in world practice.
It is customary to block sites that disseminate calls for the overthrow of government power or describe extremist or terrorist activities, but for the UK to block German sites, there is nothing like this in the world.
Therefore, despite the fact that Ukrainians are essentially violating the law by using bypass services, there is no punishment for this. So far, there is not a single case where an ordinary user of a social network has been punished for using it using one of the above methods.
By the way, if you live in Ukraine, write in the comments which method you use.
I will also note that all workarounds lead to a decrease in access speed. What can you do!
Creating a Profile Using a Facebook Page
Here we need everything the same as in the previous version, but we also need a profile on the Facebook social network. There is no need to create it specifically; then it is easier to use the first option.
So, go to the main page of www.vk.com and in the registration form click “Log in via Facebook”.
A Facebook authorization window will open, in which you will need to enter your account information on it or you will simply need to confirm the use of data from your VK profile.
On the smartphone app, this button is in the same place.
Now let's move on to the last option for creating a profile.
