Greetings! Most likely, you have encountered a situation where you needed to download something or look at some site, or maybe even “quickly” post something, for example, a question on a forum. Everything would be fine, but for this, most likely, you need to first register on this site/forum.
The registration procedure on the next site takes some time, which is sometimes impractical and makes it impossible to actually quickly download/watch/write something.

What are the limitations and what exactly cannot be done?

You won’t be able to scroll through the publication feed to the end—after a few sentences of the authorization form, the social network will leave only that on the screen. So if you decide to create your own profile, you can do this using a special form, which is located in the upper right part of the page. How to search for people
Several tools can be used to search for people:
- Search engines. Yandex, Google and other search engines will easily find the right person. To reduce the scale of the operation, use the special “site:” operator. It will allow you to find the people you need on ok.ru, excluding other sites from the search results.
- A special service for searching people on social networks from Yandex.
- Help from a friend or relative who is registered on a social network to search from his page.
The third method gives the best results. The fact is that social network users can close their profiles from search engines. In this case, the person cannot be found through any search engine.
But using a search on ok.ru you can find any registered user. Of course, some users make their profile private, but even in this case it is quite possible to find them, see the main photo and even some personal data.
How to search for communities, posts and other information
Many argue that it is impossible to search for posts, advertisements, videos and communities without logging into OK. This is not entirely true. You can search for information, just like people on social networks, and it’s completely free. This is done using the special “site:” operator, which I already mentioned above. It works in any search engine. I'll show you using Google as an example.
Let’s say I want to find the official group “Vasily Blinov’s Blog” on ok.ru. To do this, I go to Google and enter the “site:” operator without quotes in the search bar. Immediately after the colon I write the address of the site on which I want to search. In our case it will be ok.ru. After the site, I put a space and enter the name of the group you want to find. The result will be the following design: “site:ok.ru Blog of Vasily Blinov”.
Please note that there is no space after the colon.
In the search results, the desired community appeared in first place. Once you join the group, you can view all posts, see participants and go to their page.
As an example, I used the official blog group iklife.ru. So if you decide to register on a social network, be sure to subscribe to our community. There you will be the first to know about new articles on the site.
Using the “site:” operator, you can search not only for groups and communities, but also any other information: videos, articles, advertisements, etc. For example, using this query “site:ok.ru I’ll give away a piano”, you can find excellent musical instrument.
There is one important point that must be taken into account. Using the method described above, you can only find information that has already been indexed by the search engine. This process takes some time, so the latest news and recent publications will not be found.
It's even easier with video. Just follow the link ok.ru/video and use the search bar, or simply watch interesting videos in the catalog or in the list of new products.
Method one: look at a person’s profile without authorization
If you can find a person on Instagram and find out their exact nickname, go to your browser and enter a link like instagram.com/user_nickname/ into the address bar, where you replace user_nickname with the person’s nickname without the “@” sign. Follow the link and the desired profile will open in front of you.

If Instagram gives an error, double-check whether you wrote the nickname correctly in the address bar. The difference of even one character is critical - you can’t miss anything.
You can also find the page of a specific person if you don’t know his exact nickname. Open your browser, go to the search engine and enter:
- his nickname, as you remember;
- first and last name;
- or phone number.
At the end of the query, add “site:instagram.com” - this operator is needed so that the search engine searches for pages only on Instagram.
Yandex or Google will find all pages that contain the data specified in your request. All you have to do is go to them one by one and find the profile you need.
