It happens that the owner of the page does not remember the password, but it is saved in the browser. You will be able to log into your profile, but you will not be able to change your password or log in from a new device.

In this case, you can recover your password without any problems; you need to go to the appropriate section of your browser settings:

Google Chrome – enter chrome://settings/passwords in the address bar and press Enter;
Opera: opera://settings/passwords;
Firefox: go to settings and open “Protection”.

If a lot of information is saved on the page that opens, enter “vk” in the search bar; the password will be displayed in the form of asterisks next to the site address. The “Show” button will allow you to see the secret combination.

open the social network login page;

right-click on it;

As a result, instead of asterisks or dots, the password itself will be displayed in the corresponding field.

To get to it, log into the VKontakte website (first you will see the news feed from your friends and groups) and click on the “My Page” link in the left column. Restoration with number or mail

If your browser does not have a saved password, you need to use a more common method to recover your VKontakte password - via phone or by mail, that is, with the contact information specified in your account settings.

For this:

open the login page, a little below the login and password fields there is a link “Forgot your password?”;
indicate the phone number or email address to which your social network profile is linked;
if you need to enter a captcha;
to confirm ownership of the account, enter the last name indicated in it;
if the account is found in the database, it will be displayed in the next window;
click “Yes, this is the right page”;
After this, confirmation is carried out via SMS, it will contain a verification code, enter it in the appropriate field;
A form will open to set a new password, but you will no longer need to enter the old one.

As a result, a new password will be set in your account instead of the forgotten password, and you will be able to log in to your account with it in the future.

Note! At the stage of entering your last name, you must indicate not your real name, but exactly the one that was indicated in the profile. The easiest way to log into the VK social network without a password is to go through the procedure of changing the code word. You can change the code word even without authorization, although the procedure itself is not as simple as for most resources. For several years now, registration on the VKontakte website has been available only if you have a phone number, but there may be cases when the profile is not linked to a number. In this case, restoration will be carried out according to a different scheme.

After this, a form will open to indicate your current login. For the VKontakte website, 2 logins are valid at the same time, which are equivalent to each other, so in the form you can enter either an email address or a mobile phone number in international format.

If you enter an email address in the “Login” field, the password recovery scheme will not change. There must be access to a mobile phone in any case. Restoring access by email, as with most sites, does not work. After specifying your login, you need to click Next to proceed to the next step.
However, before the system creates the opportunity to restore access, it will need to check the user for “reality”. First, a form will appear where you will need to click the “ I am not a robot».
Then a block of pictures will appear, where you will need to select images with the appropriate description. There are 9 pictures in the block, the marked picture will be replaced with a new one until there is not a single one in all 9 pictures that matches the description. In VK, the block with pictures can be changed using the update icon - a circular arrow, and for people with poor vision, they can listen to the description of the task by clicking the headphones icon. After completing the task, you must click Confirm and proceed to the new stage.
The next step will be to search and confirm your profile. This will require the user's last name, so before entering the recovery form, it is recommended to clarify the correct spelling of your data through friends on the social network. They must match the data specified in the profile. You don't need to write your full name, just your last name. There are no additional hints with “peeping” information.
After entering the last name, the system will display the proposed account. In most cases it matches, so you need to select “ Yes, this is the right page" If the specified profile is not yours, you must click " come back" In this case, the system will return the user not one step, but to the very beginning to the block with entering the login and password, since, most likely, an error was made at this stage.
If the profile is correct, the system will offer to send a code to the linked phone number. The phone number itself is not displayed in full - this is one of the security measures. After confirming the number, a box will appear to enter the code, where you will need to enter the combination that came to the phone. Then a field for entering a new secret combination will open, and access to the account will be opened.

Returning login information without a phone

Using the described method, you can restore VK only if you have access to the phone number linked to your account - it is to this phone that a special code is sent. Otherwise, you will not be able to enter the secret combination of characters. But this does not mean that there is no way to restore access to the VK page - there is a way for such situations.

The first stages of this procedure do not differ from the previous case, but at the stage of entering the password from SMS, you should click on the “Click here” link below next to the text about the user not having access to the phone.

A new page will open where you enter your profile ID. This cannot be avoided, and if the user does not remember it, ask one of his friends who is in the account contacts to look and report this information - it is located in the address bar after the domain name vk.com/.

After this, a page will open with the following fields:

old phone number to which the account was registered;
login or email;
new phone number for contact;
password.

Fields for which the user does not know the answer should be left blank. After this, all that remains is to submit the application for consideration.

If you do not have access to the linked phone, you will need to apply for restoration

After some time, usually 1-2 days, the administration of the VKontakte network will contact the user for final confirmation of identity and return of access to the page. The authorization methods listed above without a login and password are based on restoring access and changing the code word. However, there is another way to access your VK page without a password. To do this, you should use your Facebook account, if you have one. Let's look at how this works.

Logging into “my page” on the VK social network using a Facebook account is not displayed as an additional method on the main page. It is in the registration block at the very bottom.

However, this does not mean that only an unregistered user can use the button. There are conditions for its use - the email for both social networks must match. But the secret words can be different. After clicking the Continue with Facebook button, an authorization window will open:

indicate your profile id on the page;
if the account id is unknown, go to https://vk.com/search?c[section]=people&from=restore;
use the built-in search form to find your account, under the desired profile, click “This is my page”;
fill in as many fields as possible, e-mail – a valid email address for communication, it does not have to be linked to your account.

Submitting an application without access to telephone and mail

The submitted application is considered for a couple of days; you can track the status of its consideration using the link provided. If the service administration considers that the information provided is sufficient to prove ownership of the page, further instructions are sent to the specified email.

If you forgot your login from the page

A situation arises when it is not the password that is lost, but the username. In this case, you will have to restore the login from your page. But first, it is recommended to try the standard login options - phone number or email. If it doesn’t work, move on to the second method.
