The dialog window is no different from what we see on Android. But when we want to attach, for example, a card, a surprise awaits us - we simply cannot do this, because... There is simply no such item in the \"Attach\" submenu, as well as graffiti, audio recording, video recording and gift items. And this, in turn, gives us additional inconvenience. Of course, you can attach a video or graffiti as a document, and a geolocation as a link to Maps. But, if you use Messenger, and your friends are full-fledged clients, then in disputes about musical tastes you will most likely lose, because... You cannot attach an .mp3 file. Also, if you receive a message, in addition to the sound, you will be able to see a red circle with the number of messages and, if you have Windows 10, you will receive a message in the notification shade. There is no quick response to the message.
And now the most interesting thing - a comparison with Telegram, Viber and its main competitor - FB Messenger. In short, their interface is standard, as for all desktop instant messengers. When compared with Telegram and Viber, nothing fundamentally similar can be found. But in the case of FB messenger... In general, just compare (the last image is FB and VK Messengers with 50% transparency). So adaptation after switching from FB to VK will be easy.
Bottom line. The idea of a separate messenger for VK is useful for companies (online stores, photographers, etc.) and people who do not want to spend a lot of time viewing memes and want to use VKontakte only for communication. After downloading the application, run the installation file. It's called vk_setup.exe. During the installation process, you must select a language and confirm your choice.
After that, you select the installation directory (you don’t have to change it).
The new window allows you to place shortcuts on the desktop and tray. Select everything you need and start the installation. Installation takes from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. If the client does not work, delete it and repeat everything again.
