Method 1: Rejecting a gift

Keep in mind that to implement this method, you need to react quickly and it is advisable not to even accept the gift right away, so that it does not appear on the main profile image. However, it is worth checking the possibility of rejection in any case in order to quickly get rid of the unwanted gift.

On the top panel, tap the bell icon to go to notifications.
Go to the "Gifts" tab or find it under "All".
As you can see in the following screenshot, it is no longer possible to cancel the gift since it has been accepted. If you see a “Decline” button instead of “Close,” click it and make sure that the gift does not appear next to your avatar or on your page in general.

Method 2: Completely removing the gift

If the gift is not on the page, it will not appear as an image next to the avatar. This is the only solution to the situation when using a mobile application if the gift has already been accepted. To do this, follow these steps:

While in the feed, open the application menu.
Click on the “Gifts” tile to go to the corresponding section.

To the right of the gift, tap on the button with three dots.
From the menu that appears, select “Remove gift”.

Here you need to select the “Sent” item. Next, you need to hover your mouse over the desired gift, after which a special button with a trash can icon will appear. You need to click on it to remove the gift from your sent list. After clicking on this button, an additional window will also appear with a question where you just need to confirm your actions by clicking on the “Yes” button. After this, the gift will no longer appear in the list of sent items on the user’s page.
