Tests have long become an integral part of the workdays of any teacher. Previously, you had to print them on paper, collect pieces of paper or notebooks from each student, manually check and analyze the results, guess the answers based on handwriting...
Now we have at our disposal online services for every taste, which seriously save time and resources. We get new opportunities: remote collection of responses, automatic evaluation of results, instant editing of materials.
We have selected several services with a wide range of functions for creating and conducting a wide variety of tests, quizzes and surveys. Some of them are completely free, some have free trials. Test and choose what suits your learning goals.
Madtest
Constructor for creating quiz tests and surveys. You can create tests like on the Meduza.io website, more suitable for testing an adult audience, for the media and those who post tests and surveys on their website.
Price: free plan with restrictions, paid plan from 1990 rubles per month.
Possibilities:
- Several formats - quiz test and personality test.
- Convenient and understandable editor.
- Personalized results.
- A large selection of CTA actions on the results page - buttons, links to messengers, collections of cards, selections of products.
- Possibility of branding tests.
- Different types of answers.
- Comments on answers.
- There is a lot of analytics that the service automatically collects.
- The created tests can be taken either via a direct link or posted on your website or blog.
Note: The service is entirely in Russian, but the tests themselves can be done in Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Kazakh and English.
In the free version, you can create no more than 3 quiz tests per month, no more than 8 questions, and access to extended statistics on completions is also closed. The number of tests taken is not limited, but you will be able to identify no more than 10 applications per month.
Madtest service review
#5. Examinare
The service is presented in various languages, but this is rather a minus, because... The Russian version is lame. In general, good functionality, but understanding it will not be easy.
It is quite difficult to find out the cost, because... There are no tariffs on the site, you can only request a price offer through support.
Pros of Examinare
- There are various ways to post a survey, such as direct link, email, embed, kiosk.
- Logic settings are available in the survey. Proceed to the next question depending on the answer.
- The results are available on the website with the ability to download in different formats.
Kahoot
Price: 7 days free, then subscription for a year – 2,390 RUR
Possibilities:
- Use ready-made quizzes on any topic (subject) for different ages.
- Create and edit surveys in a short period of time in your account.
- Combine different types of questions (puzzles, tests with multiple correct answers, open questions, sequencing, etc.)
- Conduct tests remotely or in the classroom in the “here and now” mode, when children see a question on the screen and immediately answer it using a phone or computer. The teacher sends each student an individual code using which he or she enters the virtual classroom. This is a convenient feature, because children who do not want to part with their phone engage in the learning process with interest and combine business with pleasure.
- The site has a bonus mode for quick answers. The competitive mode stimulates students' interest.
- Receive results in the form of a report with diagrams. You can view the individual progress of each student and the overall performance of the class. The children themselves can also monitor their progress using a special table. And the teacher frees up his time thanks to automatic summarizing.
Note: The application is entirely in English. Those who speak the language at a basic level will need time to get to grips with the interface. Tests and surveys can be created in Russian.
In the free version, only two types of questions are available for creating tests: with one correct answer out of four and in the “true/false” format. When you purchase the advanced version, you unlock all question types and a library of millions of images that you can add to your tests to make them fun and visual.
What questions can you ask your friends?
- Interesting and funny. These are questions you can ask your friends to cheer you up, have fun, or laugh. You can ask them to a pen pal on VKontakte or a friend on Instagram. But if you want to get to know one of your friends even better, then you need a different list of questions.
- Questions to get to know them better. The purpose of these questions is to gain insight into the thoughts and behavior of your friends, who will be able to tell you more about themselves. (By the way, I advise you to read the self-knowledge questions to get to know yourself better).
- The last list is personal questions for friends. These personal questions are not asked of those you have recently met, but are asked of those you know well. With their help, you can find out what is in the heart of your boyfriend/girlfriend. Find out his worries and worries and how you can help them.
Socrative

- Tests and reports with results can be downloaded, sent by email or to Google Drive.
Note: The site and application are in English and are completely identical to each other, easy to learn without knowledge of the language. They only work if there is Internet access.

Note: The site interface has 23 languages. Both the teacher and all students register. This is necessary to form a class and submit assignments.
Don't forget about anonymity
The rules for surveys have not changed: they can still be made public or anonymous. But the visual has changed - previously, to see who voted for what, you had to go to the poll itself. Now surveys immediately show photos and names of survey participants, and photos of friends are shown in priority.
Pay more attention to this if you have a page for a psychologist, sex shop, hospital or dental clinic, or something else that your clients don’t want to tell the first person they meet. Take care of your customers and their personal information, make sure that they can vote and get involved in the discussion of some issues without disclosing all their data.
Quizizz
Price: free
Possibilities:
- Quizzes are created and posted only on the Quizizz website when you register an account, and access to them is open both on the website itself and in the application.

- The site opens up a lot of additional opportunities: create interactive presentations, select quizzes from other users and edit them at your discretion, set up a motivation system, turn off or turn on musical accompaniment.
- Students and colleagues can write comments on presentations and tests, allowing you to quickly collect feedback and edit the material if necessary. Students are automatically notified every time you assign them a test, no longer need to submit game codes.
Note: The language changes in the application settings, there is Russian. Nice graphics and sound tracks create the mood without distracting. The site is in English, simple and easy to use even if you don’t know the language. The application and website already have ready-made quizzes on a variety of topics: mathematics, languages, sciences, history, geography, art, etc.
#6. Typeform
They say that here you can create the most beautiful surveys, but not everything is so simple. The service shows the design of surveys to be very beautiful - yes, but when you create a real survey for clients or employees, you encounter a lot of difficulties, and it won’t work out so beautifully. So beauty is only for simple surveys.
The cost of the average tariff is 32,300 rubles. There is also a limit of 5,000 responses per month for all surveys.
Benefits of Typeform
- It is possible to post surveys in different ways: embedding, direct link, pop-up.
- Analytics cannot boast of great capabilities, but in general the results are clear.
- You can add various images as the profile background
- Ability to edit HTML survey.
- Typeform has many integrations, but, unfortunately, they are all foreign and will be of little use to our users.
Quizlet
Price: 7 days free, subscription for a year – 3,550 RUR
Possibilities:
- All functions for creating flash cards become available immediately after registration (it is not necessary to sign up for a paid subscription).
- For each topic, you can create a module of cards consisting of 5 blocks: explanation of terms, memorization, writing answers, comparing images or facts, and a verification test. Thus, students master the material in all ways: visually, tactilely and auditorily (in the application you can listen to the correct pronunciation in 18 languages of the world).
- A paid subscription gives you access to scanning documents, uploading your own pictures, narrating cards yourself, and an unlimited number of study groups.
- Tests are easy to share with students as soon as they are created. Children can also participate in games in groups of 6 people and set their own records.
- There is access to ready-made tests developed by other users.
- The application automatically analyzes student progress and generates a report for the teacher.
Note: The application is in Russian. Available even offline. Suitable for memorizing new terms and their definitions in any discipline, but the “card method” is especially effective for learning foreign languages.
!! Be careful if you do not plan to renew your subscription. Money is withdrawn automatically if you have not unsubscribed one day before the expiration date.
Collect feedback
New VKontakte polls have a new feature - you can now select multiple answer options. Thanks to such surveys, the desires of the target audience become clearer.
Previously, users had to choose one thing and vote for the main one. Now you can immediately ask them about all their wishes, so that they choose all the options that interest them.
Ask your subscribers what they want from your product or service and you will receive feedback

Do time-limited surveys
Time limit is one of the new features of VKontakte polls, and it motivates people to answer quickly before the time limit runs out. In such posts, a deadline date and time appears, after which replies are no longer accepted.
There are at least two options for use here: firstly, you can involve in communication by asking people to advise you something, and argue, they say, there is not enough time, you need to make a decision. The final version will be the answer expressing the opinion of the majority, and it will be recorded.
Secondly, such polls are great for competition mechanics, when you ask your audience to determine the winner from several entries. Previously, there were often conflicts when, for example, at the time the winner was announced, one participant was the winner, but after a few minutes votes were added, and it seemed that another was winning. Now there will be no showdowns between the candidates - the timer will stop the voting right on time.
Now you can limit the survey to a deadline, after which responses will not be accepted
Creating Tests in Google Forms
Service capabilities:
- Free.
- Russified.
- Allows you to create tests with a variety of test tasks.
- Integrated with other Google services, including successful use with Google Classroom.
- It is possible to track statistics.
- There is a “branching” function.
In our opinion: more suitable for testing adult audiences and high school students.
Our advice: Use extensions to improve the functionality of Google tests. For example: Flubaroo.

#7. stepFORM
Questionnaire and survey designer. What catches your eye is the small number of survey templates and forms compared to other services. This service is only 2 years old, perhaps it still has a long way to go)
The designer has a free plan that will only give you the opportunity to get acquainted with the service. With a paid license, you can only create 50 surveys each month, with a limit of 2,000 responses across all forms. Cost per year is 3,500 rubles.
Attract new audiences through the survey widget on your website
Use the new survey widget on your company website to attract a loyal audience to your social media groups.
The survey widget is not imposed on you so that you “go and subscribe”, but it does a great job of demonstrating that you have a live VKontakte page, and the number of voters can be another reputational plus for your piggy bank.
The news media were the first to become interested in the new feature - now they can not only make polls, but also show the audience that they have groups on social networks where they can discuss news and chat live.
